Private Offers allow suppliers to share the details of their inventory with a potential buyer on the Network and then negotiate privately on the terms, including weight and price.
Creating a Private Offer
Create or Identify the Inventory Item for Sale
All private offers must be associated with a Core Inventory Item, which describes the specific lot for sale. All of your active inventory can be found by navigating to Core Operations -> Inventory.
If you have not yet created the inventory item in Matium, click the New Inventory button in the top right. Provide details including the specific material being sold, location, weight, packaging, etc.
If the inventory item already exists, select it from the list to view the inventory details.
Tip: Make sure any and all of the material specifications are included before creating an offer. Material specs cannot be updated after an offer is shared. To edit specs, click on the material name next to the image on the inventory detail page, and then select Edit from the Actions drop-down.
From the inventory detail page, select New Private Offer from the Actions drop-down in the upper right.
Step 1: Identify Inventory

Step 2: Select Links

Note that you must be linked with a company to share a private offer with them.

Step 3: Create Offers
Because all private offers are one-to-one, you can edit the terms that are sent to each of your selected links.
Weight - Set the desired weight and units for each link receiving an offer.
Price - Set the desired price and units for each link receiving an offer.
Shipping Terms - Set the desired terms for each link receiving an offer.
Destination Location - By default, the destination will be set to the primary location of each link receiving an offer. Select an alternate location or enter an address for each link receiving an offer.
Message - Click the message icon to send a personal message to each link receiving an offer.
Step 4: Review
Review the offer details and the list of links you are sharing with.
Click Submit to create and share the offers.
Note that Core Inventory Items are internal to your company only. Sending a Private Offer to a company you are linked with will not give that company access to your Core data. Below is the only information that will be shared with the company receiving your offer:
Material name, description and image
Material specifications including grade, form, color, etc.
Packaging
Location of the item only if the terms of the offer are set to FOB Origin
Weight, price and shipping terms as set for each individual offer
Managing Private Offers

As the supplier, you will have the following options available to you:
Counter - Counter with a new price or weight.
Cancel - Cancel the offer completely. This action cannot be undone.
Confirm - Confirm a bid from a buyer. Once confirmed, the transaction is considered final.
Buyers will be able to respond to your listing by countering with a new price or weight, accepting the current price and weight, or declining the offer.
Note: Transactions are not considered final until accepted by the buyer and confirmed by you as the supplier.
