Hosting a Public Offer (for Sellers)

List your supply on the Matium Market with a Public Offer.

Updated this week

Public Offers allow suppliers to share the details of their inventory with the entire Matium Network by listing supply on the Matium Market.

Creating a Public Offer

Create or Identify the Inventory Item for Sale

All public offers must be associated with a Core Inventory Item, which describes the specific lot for sale. All of your active inventory can be found by navigating to Core Operations -> Inventory.

If you have not yet created the inventory item in Matium, click the New Inventory button in the top right. Provide details including the specific material being sold, location, weight, packaging, etc.

If the inventory item already exists, select it from the list to view the inventory details.

Tip: Make sure any and all of the material specifications are included before creating an offer. Material specs cannot be updated after an offer is shared. To edit specs, click on the material name next to the image on the inventory detail page, and then select Edit from the Actions drop-down.

From the inventory detail page, select New Public Offer from the Actions drop-down in the upper right.

Step 1: Identify Inventory

Core Inventory - Set to the Core Inventory Item for sale.

Material Name - Provide a name that will be shared with the Network.

Material Description - Provide a description of the material that will be shared with the Network. Include as many details as possible - including if the supply is spot or recurring, source of the material if recycled, required pickup dates, etc.

Asking Price - Set the desired price and units that will be shared with the Network, or leave the price blank if you do not want to share a target price point.

Shipping Terms - Set the desired terms (Picked Up or Delivered) that will be shared with the Network. Note that the location of the inventory item will be shared with the Network if the Terms are set to Picked Up.

Documents - Attach any documents or images about the material lot that will be shared with your links.

Step 2: Review

Review the offer details. Click Submit to create the Public Offer.

Managing your Public Offer

All of your public offers can be found by navigating to My Activity in the left sidebar, clicking on My Listings and then Public Offers.

Click on an offer to view details, manage bids, and make any updates.

Editing a Public Offer

If you need to make changes to your offer, select Edit from the Actions drop-down in the upper right corner. Here you can update the Material Name, Description, Status, Shipping Terms, and Asking Price.

If you need to edit the weight, click on the associated Have or Inventory Item on the offer detail page and update the weight there.

Note: Once an offer has been created, you will not be able to update the material specifications. If you do need to edit the specs, you will need to cancel the offer and corresponding inventory item and then re-create both with the correct specs.

Managing Bids

Scroll to the bottom of an offer detail page to view All Bids. Click on a bid to view details and respond to potential buyers.

As the supplier, you will have the following options available to you:

  • Counter - Counter a bid with a new price or weight.

  • Cancel - Cancel the bid completely. This action cannot be undone.

  • Confirm - Confirm a bid from a buyer. Once confirmed, the transaction is considered final.

Bidders will be able to counter as well with a new price or weight, accept the current price and weight, or cancel their bid.

Note: Transactions are not considered final until accepted by the buyer and confirmed by you as the supplier.
