Market Views let you personalize the Matium Market to focus on the materials, locations, and price ranges that matter to your business. Subscribe to alerts on any Market View to get notified the moment matching listings appear.
Introduction
A Market View is a saved set of filters that creates a personalized dashboard within the Matium Market. Set it up once, and the Market shows you the offers, requests, and auctions that match your criteria - along with suggested buyers and sellers for that material.
Each Market View has its own dashboard showing:
Active Auctions matching your criteria
Active Offers (supply) matching your criteria
Active Requests (demand) matching your criteria
Suggested Buyers and Sellers based on your criteria
You can create as many Market Views as you need, and switch between them from the My Markets section in the left sidebar of the Market.
Creating a Market View
Click + New Market View in the My Markets section of the Market sidebar.
When creating a Market View, you'll set:
Material Type - PE, PP, PET, etc. This drives the rest of the available criteria.
Typical properties - the most relevant material properties for the material type you chose (grade, form, density, etc.).
Location - a city or region, with a search radius (e.g. Denver, CO within 250 miles).
Target price - minimum and maximum price per unit.
Weight - minimum and maximum weight.
You can also set additional properties via the property search.
After creating a Market View, you'll be prompted to subscribe to alerts. You can subscribe immediately or later.
Subscribing to Alerts
Subscribing to alerts on a Market View means we'll notify you when a new listing matching your criteria is posted to the Matium Market.
To subscribe:
Click Subscribe on the Market View header, or
Click the ··· menu next to any Market View in the sidebar and select Subscribe.
When subscribing, you can choose if you want to be alerted to supply (auctions and offers) only, demand only, or both supply and demand.
You'll get notified the moment a new matching listing is posted. The bell icon in the sidebar will be filled when a Market View has alerts enabled.
Managing or Unsubscribing from Alerts
To change your alert preferences or unsubscribe:
Click Manage Alerts on the Market View header, or
Click the ··· menu next to a Market View in the sidebar and select Manage Alerts.
You can adjust the alert type or unsubscribe completely. Unsubscribing keeps the Market View itself - only the alerts are turned off.
Editing or Deleting a Market View
To edit a Market View, click Edit on the Market View header or use the ··· menu in the sidebar. You can change any of the criteria you set when creating it.
To delete a Market View, use the ··· menu and select Delete. Deleting a Market View also cancels its alert subscription. This action cannot be undone.
Tips
Be specific. Narrower Market Views produce more relevant alerts. A view for "PE, Regrind, Post-Consumer, Natural" will catch only the listings that closely match - useful when you want signal, not noise.
Create multiple views. If you trade multiple material types, create a Market View for each. Each gets its own alerts and dashboard.
Review your alerts. If you're getting too many or too few alerts, edit the Market View to broaden or narrow the criteria.
