Overview
Financial transactions are always associated with shipments in Matium. Every shipment will contain a ledger with line items for material cost, material sale, freight costs and other line items. Matium then provides a high-level financial summary of all transactions across your business.
Managing Financials
All financial transactions are logged on the shipment detail page under the Finance tab.
Here you'll find a summary of total revenue, total cost and gross profit for the shipment along with a ledger of all cost and revenue numbers.
Material cost, material sale, and freight rate are populated automatically. Other revenue or cost line items can be added to the ledger by clicking Add Item.
Financial Summary
Click on Finance in the left sidebar to view a financial summary of all transactions logged in Matium for the past 30 days, including:
Total Gross Profit
Current Inventory Value
Average Sale Price
Total Freight Spend
If you have integrated Matium with your QuickBooks Online system, the summary will also include:
Total Invoiced Amount
Total Billed Amount
Average DPO (Days Payable Outstanding)
Average DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
Ledger
The Ledger tab under Finance provides a table view of all financial transactions, or line items listed in the Ledger for your shipments.
Use the Sort drop-down on the far right to sort by date, company or amount.
Click the Export button to export the data to CSV or XLSX. When exporting, you will be prompted to enter a date range for the data being exported. By default, transactions from the last 30 days will be exported.
Click on an individual line item or Shipment ID to be taken to the shipment detail page where you can modify line items as needed.
Payables and Receivables
Use the Payables tab under Finance to filter and view only cost line items.
Use the Receivables tab to filter and view only revenue line items.
Invoices and Bills
If you have integrated Matium with your QuickBooks Online system, you will be able to view all bills and invoices associated with shipments in Matium using the Bills and Invoices tabs under Finance.
