Learn about the lifecycle of a Core Shipment in Matium.

Introduction

Shipments in Matium Core, very simply, represent the pickup and delivery of materials. Each Shipment will detail pickup and delivery details, freight information and a manifest of all goods and corresponding weights. By managing all of your shipments with Matium, you'll be able to seamlessly fulfill orders, receive instant freight quotes, track status and gain full transparency into your financials.

Documents

Matium will automatically generate all documentation needed for a shipment, including Shipping Confirmation, Bill of Lading, Packing List, Scales and Invoice.

Book Freight

Matium partners with Tomorrowmade, which offers FTL/LTL freight and warehousing services tailored to the raw materials industry. Within Matium, you can receive an instant freight quote and book freight for a seamless shipping experience.

Note that Matium currently supports booking FTL dry van shipments in the U.S. and Canada.

Lifecycle

A Shipment in Matium will start with a status of Pending. The status of a Shipment can then be updated to Dispatched, In Transit and finally Delivered. The financials of a Shipment can also be tracked by updating the status to Invoiced and Paid.

Note that every Shipment will be associated with a single Core Order within Matium. As Shipments are created, the Order will be updated reflecting how many of the order items still need to be shipped.
