Introduction

Network Requests in Matium allow buyers to share a material need including location, material parameters, packaging needs and requested weight with suppliers on the Matium Network.

Requests can either be shared privately with companies the buyer is linked with or publically with everyone on the Matium Network.

Lifecycle of a Request

All Requests in Matium are associated with a Core Need, which allows buyers to track the full weight required and how much weight is remaining.

Requests will remain active until the associated Core Need either expires, or is marked as cancelled or completed. If the weight of the Core need reaches 0, any active requests will also be automatically cancelled. You may also manually cancel a request sent to a company at any time.

Responding to Requests

Suppliers have the ability to view the details of a request and respond by sending the buyer a private material offer. Note that all negotiations are done on offers - not on requests.
