Introduction

Network Requests in Matium allow you to share a material need including location, material parameters, packaging needs and requested weight with one or more companies.

Sharing your needs with your network allows them to provide you with more relevant offers to buy materials that meet your specific requirements.

Note that you can only send and receive requests with companies you are linked to on Matium. Learn more about setting up links.

While all companies can receive requests, only companies subscribed to Matium Core can send requests to their Network. To update your subscription status, Administrators can visit the Billing area under Administration in the left sidebar.

Lifecycle

When creating new requests in Matium, you will be prompted to associate the request with a Core need in Matium. You can either select an existing need or create a new one. You will then be able to share the need with one or more links.

Requests will remain active until the associated Core need either expires, or is marked as cancelled or completed. If the weight of the Core need reaches 0, any active requests will also be automatically cancelled. You may also manually cancel a request sent to a company at any time.

Receiving Requests

If your company receives a request from another company, you have the ability to view the details of the request and respond by sending the company a material offer. Note that all negotiations are done on offers - not on requests.
