Learn how to create a new standard material in Matium.

Updated over a week ago

Introduction

Materials in Matium contain any and all of the specifications that define a standard material, along with pictures and documentation. You should create a material for any standard material you plan to use within Matium. This allows Matium to provide unique insights into pricing, order history and material-specific analytics.

Note: This article describes how to create a standard material in Matium. For a material that may only exist for a singular use or has unknown values, you may create a "spot" material as a one-off when creating a new have, inventory item, order or shipment.
