Needs in Matium Core describe a specific material demand from a specific company. The details of a Need include the requesting company, location, material parameters, requested weight, target price, packaging parameters and terms for shipping. Create a Need for each set of materials a company would like to buy - and then let Matium help you find your best sell and trade opportunities!
Creating a Need
Go to Core and then Needs to view all existing needs. Click New Need to create a new need.
Enter all relevant information and click Submit. You will then be taken to the detail page for the newly created Need.
New Need Form
Basic Information
Company - The owner of the need.
The drop-down will list all companies.
Click Add to create a new company.
Location - The location of the need.
The drop-down will list all locations for the selected company.
Click Add to create a new location for the selected company.
Material Type - The type of material.
Grade - Select all acceptable quality classifications.
Form - Select all acceptable physical forms for this need.
Color - Select all acceptable colors.
Product Type - Select all desired applications for this need.
Click Show Additional Specifications link to specify an acceptable range of values for properties such as Density, Moisture, Durometer, Viscosity, Izod, etc.
Leave a property empty if there is no specific preference. In this case, the property will be considered a match with any value.
Need Details
Requested Weight - The requested weight and units.
Price Target - The target price per unit.
Expiration Date - The expiration date for the need.
Packaging - Select all acceptable types of packaging.
SO/PO Number - The sales or purchase order number. Optional.
Incoterms - The terms of sale.
Tags - One or more keywords to help you identify this need. Optional.
Notes - Any relevant notes for this need. Optional.
Representatives - Enter all associates from your company involved with this need.
