What is the Matium Network and why does it matter to your business today and in the future?

Updated over a week ago

Why the Network?

1. To connect with service providers:

Before Matium launched the Network, we received a call from a user inquiring if we could connect them with a reputable bulk truck shipper in Arkansas. Within minutes, we had them connected with a trusted service provider who had signed up for early access to create a Network profile on Matium.

Had the Network been available at that time, the two companies would have been connected in seconds.

You might be wondering, why didn't the user just Google it?

Well, when you search for "bulk trucks in Arkansas," you get 31.1 million results, and then you have to sift through the noise to find the right contact. Even then, you can't be sure if they can assist you because they might not handle the materials you need to be moved.

2. To connect with distributors:

Companies will join the Matium Network to list their digital line cards, starting in March. This won't be a link to a Technical Data Sheet (TDS) or an outdated database that's difficult to navigate. For the time being, you'll still be able to connect with distributors and see the types of materials they handle.

Matium will become a place where you can filter materials down to the exact specification you're looking to procure, and voilà, it will show you the exact company that sells that material.

Because let's face it, finding a supplier for clear polypropylene post-consumer copolymer pellets with a 10 melt on Google is probably not going to happen.

3. To find new people to sell to:

Many people tell us, "I wish I knew more people to sell to." Don't we all!

But seriously, spending time calling around to find qualified buyers can be a huge waste of time. Even worse, it can lead to dealings with an unverified bad actor who takes your materials and disappears!

On the Network, you can will be able to view company buying profiles (coming in March). This is to understand precisely what they are looking for and establish new connections with potential buyers.

How?

By using filters to find exactly what you are looking for OR by scanning map view to browse who is offering what service and where.

Coming Soon: Ability to match with service providers based off of the service needed the optimal vendor to fulfill your need!

Finding Materials (coming in March)

Why?

You're probably relying on an outdated website for this task right now. Filtering and finding what you need from a material specification standpoint has likely become a very frustrating task.

Imagine if you could specify the exact material you're looking for and then connect directly with the company that distributes it. No need to request a TDS, no calling to find out if what "seems right" is actually right.

Find what you need, then take action.

How?

By simply putting in the exact specifications of the material you are trying to source and let Matium do the work of finding it for you.
