How to use Matium as a CRM (Adding Companies)...
Updated over a week ago

Within Matium, you will have the ability to create "Companies". These are exactly what they say they are: Companies. They are the ones that you work currently or opportunities that you have.

To add a new Company to your Matium there are two options:

  1. Manually add them through "Create a Company" button

  2. Import them directly from the Network

We will dive into both options as well as more details about the companies in your Matium.

Adding a Company and what information is included

You can skip all the reading and try it yourself here...

You can add the Company on the Dashboard page after clicking the "Add" button, you can do the same in the Companies tab or on any page if you click the "+" icon on the top ribbon.

Adding a Company in Matium allows you to have all of the need-to-know information about the companies that you work with all in one place!

Details

The "Company Name" is an autofill field meaning that once you put in the name of the associated company, it will begin to automatically fill in the information found on the web.

Important Details you should add in:

  • Services Provided - what you use this company for from a service perspective

  • Materials - you have the ability to add material specific to this company or create new material.

  • Tags - any unique identifiers you want to put on this company to possibly group or filter in your created views.

  • Representatives - who in your company is assigned to or works with this account.

Locations

The primary address will have most likely already pulled in from the web search ran on the initial page when you filled in the company name.

An important thing to note here is that you can customize Pickup/Delivery Appointment windows as well as add shipping requirements for each location.

You have the ability to add as many locations that you would like for each company. You can make any of the locations the remit address and change this at any time.

Contacts

In your typical CRM, you usually add "Contacts" under the "Company". It is no different on Matium. While building out the Company, you will add in each contact within the organization.

Note that Contact type will simply be what department they work in.

Materials

Unlike any other CRM, Matium recognizes that the real opportunities in the materials space are the actual materials themselves. The companies are simply conductors of the movement of these materials.

So when using a CRM in this space, you should know exactly what specific materials each company you work with sells.

You can add as many materials you would like for each company. These can be added from your "Materials" database or can be created directly from this page using the "Add New" button.

"Add New" Button

Here you will be prompted to create a new material. You have the ability to get as granular with details as you would like.

(A good rule of thumb here is to input directly from a TDS or testing sheet)

Buy Profiles

At the end you will be given a playback and the Company will be created. At the end you will be given a playback and the Company will be created.

Similar to "Materials" tab and the opportunities associated with them except in this case this is what these companies are usually looking to buy.

When we get into "Matches" later on we will learn more about the power of "Buy Profiles" but simply put, if you have a new material to sell - you will be able to quickly find who in your CRM is usually a buyer of this material.

At the end you will be prompted to review and accept all of the inputs associated.
