Private Offers allow you to share the details of your inventory or other material lots for sale with your private network and then negotiate with each company individually on the terms, including weight and price.

Creating a Private Offer

Visit Offers under Network in the left sidebar and click New Private Offer in the upper right corner.

Step 1: Identify the Have (Matium Core subscribers)

All Network Offers must be associated with a Core Have. The Core Have is internal to your company only and describes the exact material specifications, location, weight and asking price of the lot for sale.

Core Have - Select an existing Core Have from the drop-down or click the New button to create either a new Inventory Item (owned by your company) or a new Have (owned by another company) in Core.

Material Name - Provide a name that will be shared with your links.

Material Description - Provide a description of the material that will be shared with your links.

Default Weight, Price and Shipping Terms - If you will be sharing this lot with multiple links, enter default values for each offer. You will be able to edit each offer before it is shared.

Documents - Attach any documents or images about the material lot that will be shared with your links.

Step 2: Select Links

Select the links you would like to share an offer with. You can search by company name, select individual companies, or click 'Select All Links' to share with all of your network links.

Note that you must be linked with a company to share a private offer with them.

Step 3: Create Offers

Because all private offers are one-to-one, you can edit the terms that are sent to each of your selected links.

Weight - Set the desired weight and units for each link receiving an offer.

Price - Set the desired price and units for each link receiving an offer.

Shipping Terms - Set the desired terms for each link receiving an offer.

Destination Location - By default, the destination will be set to the primary location of each link receiving an offer. Select an alternate location or enter an address for each link receiving an offer.

Message - Click the message icon to send a personal message to each link receiving an offer.

Step 4: Review

Review the offer details and the list of links you are sharing with.

Click Submit to create and share the offers.

Note that Core Haves are internal to your company only. Sending a Network Offer to a company you are linked with will not give that company access to your Core data. Below is the only information that will be shared with the company receiving your offer:

  • Material name, description and image

  • Material specifications including grade, form, color, etc.

  • Packaging

  • Location of the item only if the terms of the offer are set to FOB Origin

  • Weight, price and shipping terms as set for each individual offer
