Inventory Items in Matium describe a specific lot of a specific material in stock at your company and its location, weight, pricing, packaging and terms for shipping. By managing your inventory in Matium, you will be able to gain new insights and automate all aspects of your materials business - from managing inventory to creating orders, tracking shipments and understanding financials.

An Inventory Item in Matium will start with an Active status and an initial weight. As Core Orders are created for an Inventory Item, the remaining weight will be automatically updated to reflect how much of the lot is still available.

An Inventory Item will be marked as Completed when the remaining weight reaches 0. An item may be manually marked as Cancelled at any time. An item may also be archived at any time if no longer relevant.

You may manually reset the status of an Inventory Item to Active at any time as long as the remaining weight is greater than 0.
