Opportunities and Matches Explained
Updated over a month ago

First things first, let's revisit some very important definitions:

  • Inventory - A material that is on your companies balance sheet and is owned by your company. These will appear under.... inventory.

  • Have - An opportunity that your company has to move a material on behalf of another company.

  • Need - A material that either your company needs or an opportunity to find a material on behalf of another company.

Inventory Items and Haves are paired with Needs to create Matches!

Matches rank order opportunities on three criterias to give a blended overall rating:

  1. Material Rating - How well do the specifications line up?

  2. Price Rating - How large of gross profit will I make on this trade?

  3. Location Rating - What does freight do to my net profit?

From matches you can directly create orders!

If there are no direct matches on a material - Matium will give you suggested companies to share the opportunity with given their profile or purchase history.
